Mr. Olauson is the President of the European Patients’ Forum, elected in June 2005. He represents EURORDIS as a member of the board where he also served as President from 1999 to 2001. In 1989, Mr. Olauson established the Agrenska Centre in Sweden where he still serves as Chairman. Agrenska focuses on support for children and young people with rare diseases, their families and their daily life.

Ms Palkonen is an EPF Board member since June 2006 and EPF Vice-President since June 2007. Ms Palkonen is the Executive Officer of the European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients’ Association, and previously worked for its Finnish member association.

Mr. O’Donovan is EPF’s Treasurer, elected in June 2006. He is a member of the Board of the European Multiple Sclerosis Platform and is Chair of the Long Term Conditions Alliances in the UK, both members of EPF. Mr. O’Donovan is a former Chief Executive of the UK Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Mr. Englezos was elected EPF’s Board member in April 2008. M. Englezos is the President of Thalassaemia International Federation. M. Englezos was the founding father of the Cyprus Thalassaemia Association and was President until 1995.

Maria D. Navarro is a Medical Doctor, specialized in Public Health. She is currently Adjunct Director of the Josep Laporte Foundation (University Autonomous of Barcelona), President of the Catalan Patients Forum and Vice-President of the Spanish Patients Forum. She is also member of various scientiffic committees and holds research and teaching positions in diferent universities in Spain.

Mrs. Guadalupe Morales is a Journalist and Documentary maker. Doctorate. Founder and Director of Fundación Mundo Bipolar, for persons with bipolar disorder. Webamster of bipolarweb.com. General Secretary of Gamian-Europe (Global Alliance of Mental Illness Advocacy Networks – Europe). A pan-European patient driven federation of organisations across Europe. Had teaching positions universities in Spain and USA.
