About EPF

The European Patients’ Forum, known as EPF, is the umbrella organisation of pan-European patient organisations active in the field of European public health and health advocacy.

EPF came into being in January 2003, as a direct response to calls by the European Commission and other EU institutions to have one pan-European patient body to address and consult on cross-cutting issues of interest to all patients in the European healthcare debate, regardless of their disease. The EPF secretariat was established in 2011 in Brussels.

EPF is now the point of reference for the European Commission, the European Parliament and the European Council.
